The readiness code is an 8-digit numerical code that provides information on the status of the emission-relevant diagnosis.
If the diagnosis for a system was successfully performed (e.g. secondary air system), the relevant position of the numerical code is set from 1 to 0.
Readiness code 00000000 means that the individual diagnoses have been successfully performed.
Diagnoses in normal operation are performed at regular intervals. If repairs have been done on a system relevant for the exhaust gas it is recommended to generate the readiness code as this guarantees that these systems operate according to the specifications. If a fault is detected during the diagnosis it is entered in the fault memory.
Readiness Code is erased after the fault memory is erased or if the power supply is interrupted.
