Procedure

When fitting new pistons or a partial engine, check the piston projection in TDC on all pistons.

Note

Turn the engine in a clockwise direction in order to measure the piston projection in TDC.

Depending on the piston projection fit the relevant cylinder head seal in accordance with the table below:

t	Control code -arrow 2- (ignore)

t	Bores -arrow 3-

Note

t	If different values are measured during the projection measurement of the piston, the greatest dimension applies for the seal assignment.

t	If only the gasket is replaced, then it must be replaced with a gasket with the same marking.
