Engine with identification characters ATD
1 - Support
q   for oil feed line
2 - 25 Nm
q   replace
q   Coat stud bolts with hot bolt paste -G 052 112 A3-
3 - Gasket
q   replace
4 - 25 Nm
5 - Connecting tube
q   to connection fitting
6 - Gasket
q   replace
q   Check fitting position
7 - Washer
8 - from air filter
9 - to charge-air cooler
10 - Vacuum setting element
q   for charge pressure control
q   part of turbocharger, cannot be replaced separately
11 - Shield
12 - Support
q   Exhaust turbocharger - cylinder block
13 - 40 Nm
14 - Gasket ring
q   replace
15 - Connection fitting - 40 Nm
16 - Union nut - 35 Nm
17 - 17 Nm
18 - Oil return line
q   in the cylinder block
19 - Exhaust turbocharger
q   Can only be replaced complete with exhaust manifold
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Checking charge pressure control → Chapter
q   Vacuum setting element and charge pressure regulating valve and are component parts of the exhaust turbocharger and must not be replaced individually.
q   After installing the turbocharger, run engine at idling speed for about 1 minute to ensure that oil is supplied to the turbocharger bearing.
20 - Front exhaust pipe
q   with decoupling element
q   do not twist decoupling element more than 10° - risk of damage
q   removing and installing → Chapter
21 - Connection fitting - 30 Nm
22 - Oil feed line
q   in the bearing of the turbocharger
q   Tighten union nut to 25 Nm
23 - 10 Nm

   
Engine with engine code AXR
1 - 10 Nm
2 - Oil feed line
q   in the bearing of the turbocharger
3 - Hollow screw - 25 Nm
4 - Gasket ring
q   replace
5 - Union nut - 25 Nm
6 - Gasket
q   replace
7 - Connection fitting - 30 Nm
q   replace
q   Coat thread and contact surface with hot bolt paste -G 052 112 A3-
8 - Gasket
q   replace
q   Check fitting position
9 - Washer
10 - 25 Nm
q   replace
q   Coat stud bolts with hot bolt paste -G 052 112 A3-
11 - Support
q   Exhaust turbocharger - cylinder block
12 - 40 Nm
q   tighten all bolts first of all by hand
13 - from air filter
14 - Exhaust turbocharger
q   Can only be replaced complete with exhaust manifold
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Checking charge pressure control → Chapter
q   Vacuum setting element and charge pressure regulating valve and are component parts of the exhaust turbocharger and must not be replaced individually.

q   To the solenoid valve for charge pressure limitation - N75-
21 - 25 Nm
q   tighten all bolts first of all by hand
22 - 22 Nm
23 - Shield
24 - Front exhaust pipe
q   with catalytic converter
q   with decoupling element
q   do not twist decoupling element more than 10° - risk of damage
q   removing and installing → Chapter
25 - Support
q   for oil feed line
26 - 22 Nm
27 - Connecting tube
q   to radiator for exhaust gas recirculation
