Fuel filter - Summary of components
  Note
Fuel hoses at the engine must only be secured with spring-type clips. The use of clamp-type or screw-type clips is not allowed.
1 - Return-flow line
–  to fuel tank
2 - Feed line
–  from fuel tank
3 - O-ring
–  do not interchange, top blue ring
4 - Regulating valve
–  Fitting position: Arrow points to fuel tank
–  remove the holding clamp when changing the fillter and remove regulating valve with the connected fuel lines
–  for a temperature of less than + 15 °C: access to filter open
–  for a temperature of above + 31°C: access to filter open
5 - Retaining clip
6 - Return-flow line
–  from the injection pump
7 - Feed line
–  to the injection pump
8 - Fuel filter
–  the direction of flow is marked by arrows
–  to remove, slacken clamping screw at bracket
–  do not interchange connections
–  replace if damaged
–  fill up with diesel fuel before fitting
9 - Gasket
–  replace if damaged
10 - Drain plug
–  to ventilate, remove retaining clip for regulating valve and remove regulating valve with connected fuel lines, slacken clamping screw and pull out filter to the top
–  Loosen and drain off approximately 0.1 litres of fluid
