Fuel hoses at the engine must only be secured with spring-type clips. The use of clamp-type or screw-type clips is not allowed.
1 - Antifatigue bolt
t  always replace
t  20 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)
2 - Injection pump gear
3 - Hub nut
t  on no account release
4 - Connection fittings
t  for feed line
t  28 Nm
5 - Gasket ring
t  replace
6 - Injection pump
q   with fuel temperature sender -G81-
q   with Metering adjuster -N146-
q   with modulating piston movement sender -G149-

q   Newly seal injection pump → Chapter
7 - Fuel shut-off valve -N109-
t  20 Nm
8 - Connection fittings
t  for return-flow line
t  28 Nm
9 - Return-flow line
t  to regulating valve/fuel filter
10 - 25 Nm
11 - Injection lines
t  tighten to 25 Nm
t  remove with ring spanner for injection lines (e.g. - 3035-)
t  always replace completely wiring set
12 - Connection fittings, 45 Nm
t  with pressure valve
13 - 25 Nm
14 - Injection nozzle
t  for cylinder 3 with needle lift sender -G80-
t  remove and install, test → Chapter
t  Tighten screw for return-flow line of cylinder 3 to 10 Nm
15 - 20 Nm
16 - Clamp
17 - Bracket
18 - Copper seal
q   replace
19 - 12 Nm
20 - Commencement of injection valve -N108-
21 - O-ring
22 - Strainer
23 - 25 Nm
24 - Cover for injection timing device
