Input values when changing the dash panel insert
Absolutely pay attention to the following points when changing the dash panel insert:
  Note
t  The parameter which is set can be deducted with the diagnosis from the dash panel insert which was changed (function 10 adaptation, channels 40-41, diesel 47-48, petrol 46). Furthermore the coding and the km reading are registered.
t  The residual values since the last inspection service must be entered!
t  In countries with a speedometer reading in mileage, the adaptation of the service interval display (SID) must be carried out in kilometres! For this purpose, convert the adaptation values from miles into kilometres or enter the previously noted adaptation values (1 mile = 1.609 km).
t  The immobiliser control unit is integrated in the dash panel insert, this means that when changing the dash panel insert, the immobiliser control unit is also replaced and must be adapted!
t  After changing the dash panel insert, the following steps must be carried out:
–  Adaptation of the immobiliser control unit → Chapter.
–  Adapt ignition key → Chapter.
–  Adapt odometer reading (mileage reading) → Chapter.
–  Perform coding of the dash panel insert page → Chapter.
–  Adapt service interval display → Chapter.
–  Set the desired language version (only on dash panel inserts with dot display) → .
–  Code control unit Gateway → Chapter.
–  Code radio → Chapter (valid for radios Gamma, Symphony and MS 303).
