Measure main pressure
The pressure test informs about malfunctions in the hydraulic control. It should only be undertaken if all the remaining tests do not show any cause of damage.
–  Before measuring the main pressure, interrogate the fault memory and rectify any possible electrical faults.
–  Interrogate the fault memory → Chapter.
   
–  Screw out screw -arrow- for the main pressure hole, always replace screw, 15 Nm.
–  Connect the automatic gearbox testing device -V.A.G 1702- and tighten the knurled screw.
–  Start engine and run in idle.
–  Bleed the automatic gearbox testing device -V.A.G 1702-, to do so loosen the knurled screw and tighten it again after bleeding.
–  Set ATF temperature to 60 °C; to do so -V.A.G 1552 - connect and read measured value block → Chapter.
