Erasing fault memory
Erasing fault memory
–  Interrogate the fault memory → Chapter.
After interrogating the fault memory:
   
Readout on display:
–  Select function 05 and confirm with Q.
  
Vehicle system test               HELP
Select function XX
Readout on display:
  Note
t  If the ignition was switched off between the interrogation of the fault memory and the deletion of the fault memory, no deletion of the fault memory occurs.
t  Carefully observe the work procedure, i.e. first read out fault memory and then erase.
  
Caution!                              ->
Fault memory was not interrogated
Readout on display:
After the read-out on the display the fault memory is only erased after approx. 5 seconds.
The fault memory is now erased.
–  → Press key
–  Select function 06 and confirm entry with the Q key.
  Note
Wait 1 minute before interrogating the fault memory again.
–  After interrogating and erasing the fault memory, conduct test drive and interrogate fault memory again → Chapter.
During the interrogation of the fault memory must appear:
  
Vehicle system test                 ->
Fault memory erased!
Readout on display:
  
No fault detected!
