Determine adjusting washer “S4” after removing the output flange
Determine adjusting washer “S4” after removing the output flange
Determing the adjusting washer is only necessary if the output flange is replaced. It serves to create the preload of the tapered-roller bearing for the shank bevel gear.

–  Measure length of the shank on previous and new output flange and determine the difference.
  N39-0799
Example:
previous output flange43.50 mm
new output flange43.30 mm
Difference0.20 mm

If the new output flange is longer - fit a respective thinner adjusting washer S4.
If the previous output flange is longer - fit a respective thicker adjusting washer S4.
–  Assign the determined adjusting washer(s) via the → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.
