Tightening torques

1) additional starter to gearbox

Vehicles with four-wheel drive

When installing the gearbox carrier (up to 09.00), observe the following mounting sequence: –  Screw in all screws by hand. –  Only tighten screws -B- and -C- to 10 Nm. –  Tighten screws -A- to 45 Nm. –  Tighten screws -B- and -C- to 40 Nm.

When installing the gearbox carrier (as of 10.00), observe the following mounting sequence: –  Screw in all screws by hand. –  Only tighten screws -B- and -C- to 10 Nm. –  Tighten screws -A- to 50 Nm. –  Tighten screws -B- to 40 Nm and -C- to 25 Nm. Continued for all vehicles

Gearbox console -1- to gearbox

Screws -arrows-

50 Nm + torque a further 90°

–  Replace screws → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.

Gearbox to body

Screws -arrows-

100 Nm

–  Replace screws → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.   Note Observe the stress-free assembly bracket in the vehicle → Engine → Rep. Gr.10.

Pendulum support

Screws -arrows A-	20 Nm + torque a further 90°
Screws -arrows B-	40 Nm + torque a further 90°

–  Replace screws → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.

Gearbox shift lever to gearbox 1)	20 Nm
Hydraulic line to gearbox	25 Nm
Flexible disk/propshaft to output flange of angle gearbox	60 Nm
Small cover plate for flywheel at engine	10 Nm
