Removing and installing cable locks
   
–  Use an open-end wrench -1- (wrench size 13 mm) to lever off selector cable -A- and shift cable -B- from gearbox.
  Note
t  Only if the shift cable, the selector cable or the cable lock should be replaced, the cable lock must be levered off.

t  If these components are not replaced, pull forward the locking mechanism at shift cable and at selector cable as far as the stop in -direction of arrow 1-, then lock by turning to the left in -direction of arrow 2-.

–  Apply a small quantity of polycarbamide grease -G 052 142 A2- into the ball sockets of the new cable locks -A- and -B-.
  Note
The seals -arrows- outside the ball socket must be free of grease.

–  Press the shift cable onto the gearshift lever and the selector cable onto the relay lever -arrows-.
