Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Feeler gauges
t  Knife-edge straightedge
Test sequence
   
–  Inspect cylinder head at several points for distortion using a knife-edge straightedge and feeler gauge.
t  max. permissible distortion: 0.1 mm (minimum clearance of straightedge base: 100 mm)
–  If the distortion is greater than 0.1 mm, replace cylinder head or rework.
