Variant B: Open with pipe cutter
I - Front pressurized shock absorber
II - Rear pressurized shock absorber
–  Clamp the pressurized shock absorber in the vice in such a way that the piston points upwards.
  Caution
Use safety goggles when drilling.
   
–  Drill a hole Ø 3 mm -arrow- into the outer pipe of the shock absorber.
  Note
Gas will escape during drilling.
–  Position a pipe cutter, e.g. Stahlwille Express -150/3-, as shown in the figure, and cut through the outer pipe of the shock absorber.
–  Pull the piston rod upwards and while doing so grip the inner pipe with pliers and press it down in such a way that it remains in the outer pipe when the piston rod is slowly pulled up.
–  Pull the piston rod out of the inner pipe.
–  Empty the shock absorber pipe.
