1 - Screw, 50 Nm + 45°
q   replace after each removal
2 - Bearing bracket
3 - Screw, 90 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
q   determine → Anchor the fitting position of the bracket to the trailing arm before tightening the screw
4 - Coupling rod
q   connects anti-roll bar with trailing arm/wheel-bearing housing
5 - Screw, 90 Nm + 45°
q   observe the order of tightening up → Anchor
q   replace after each removal
q   note → Anchor the fitting position of the trailing arm to the wheel-bearing housing before tightening the screws
6 - Trailing arm
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   repairing → Chapter
7 - Drive shaft
q   Summary of components → Chapter

8 - Screw, 70 Nm + 90°
q   replace after each removal
9 - Wheel-bearing housing
q   different versions
q   up to 05/2007 steel casting version

10 - Rear right wheel speed sensor -G44-/Rear left wheel speed sensor -G46-
q   can be checked → Vehicle diagnostic tester in the guided fault detection system
q   Clean the inner surface of the hole before inserting the sensor and coat with a solid lubricant paste -G 000 650-.
11 - Screw, 8 Nm
12 - Rubber-metal bearing
q   replace → Chapter
13 - Nut, 40 Nm
q   self-locking
q   replace after each removal
14 - Screw, 4 Nm
15 - Brake disc
16 - Screw
q   Hexagon screw = 180 Nm + torque a further 180° → Chapter
q   Turn twelve-sided bolt = 70 Nm + 90° → Chapter
q   replace after each removal
17 - Wheel hub with wheel bearing
q   Sensor ring for ABS is built into the wheel hub
q   removing and installing → Chapter
Wheel hub and wheel bearing form one unit. It is clearance free, adjusting and repairs are not possible.
18 - Screw, 12 Nm
q   up to 05/2007 wheel bearing housing in steel casting and 3 screws
q   as of 06/2007 aluminium wheel bearing housing and 4 screws

19 - Cover plate
q   up to 05/2007 for wheel bearing housing in steel casting with 3 holes
q   as of 06/2007 for aluminium wheel bearing housing with 4 holes
