Removing:
  Note
2 mechanics are required for the removal and installation.
–  Remove top and bottom tailgate trim panel → Chapter.
–  Removing the finishing strip → Chapter.
–  Disconnect electrical plug connections and take cable out of tailgate.
–  Remove pressurized gas struts → Chapter.
–  Hold the tailgate with the help of a second mechanic.
   
–  Remove fixing nuts -2- (20 Nm) of hinges -1- and remove tailgate.
Installing:
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order; pay attention to the following points:
–  Adjust tailgate → Rep. gr.00.
–  Observe uniform gap size between bonnet and body.
–  Adjust the stop buffer and check the opening and closing of the bonnet.
