| Removing: |
| l | Headrest is removed. |
| – | Removing backrest → Chapter. |
| – | Unhook clamping section (Pos. 11) at the bottom cover side. |
| – | Unhook longitudinal wires of the cover (Pos. 12) in the bottom backrest area. |
| – | Cut through the first row of retaining clips (Pos. 10). |
| – | Unhook tensioning straps on the rear side of the cover. |
| – | Roll up cover and unhook clamping section on the rear side of the seat. |
| – | Cut through the second and third row of retaining clips (Pos. 10). |
| – | Unhook the longitudinal wire of the cover (Pos. 12) at rear and pull through to the front. |
| – | Remove cover from backrest upwards. |
| Installing: |
Note| When installing the cover, use upholstery clip pliers e.g. -V.A.G 1634-. |
| – | Installation is carried out in the reverse order. |
| 2 - | Foam padding |
| Removing: |
| – | Remove seat cover (Pos. 1). |
| – | Remove foam padding. |
| Installing: |
| – | Installation is carried out in the reverse order. |
| 3 - | Heating element |

| 4 - | Transverse wire of the backrest rack |
| 5 - | Headrest |
| 6 - | Headrest guides |
| 7 - | Backrest rack |
| 8 - | Airbag unit |
