Removing and installing passenger glove compartment

Removing:

–	Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.

–	Removing side cover for right dash panel -1- with wedge -3409-.

–	Remove fixing screws -2- (1.4 Nm) and pull out the glove compartment -1- slightly.

For vehicles with key switch for front passenger airbag:

Note

t	Pay attention to safety precautions regarding repairs to airbag system → Chapter.

t	Disconnect battery earth strap → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.

–	Disconnect the plug connection of the front passenger airbag key switch.

For all vehicles:

–	Release plug from lock, plug from glove compartment light as well as from air hose (if present).

–	Remove glove compartment -1-.

Installing:

–	Installation is carried out in the reverse order; pay attention to the following points:

For vehicles with key switch for front passenger airbag:

Pay attention to the sequence when connecting the battery → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
