Removing and installing bracket for auxiliary units
Removing and installing bracket for auxiliary units
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove V-ribbed belt → Chapter.
–  Remove alternator → Electrical System; Rep. Gr.27.
   
–  Disconnect plug connection -1- for magnetic coupling at AC compressor.
  WARNING
Risk of injury through refrigerant.
Do not open the refrigerant circuit of the air conditioning system.
–  Release screws -arrows- for AC compressor.
  Caution
Risk of damaging refrigerant lines and hoses.
Do not over-tension, buckle or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.
–  Tie up AC compressor with connected refrigerant hoses to the frame side rail.

–  Release screw -arrow- for guide pipe for the dipstick.
–  Release screws -1°…°5- and detach bracket for auxiliary units from coolant pump housing.
Install
l  Tightening torques → Chapter.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
  Note
t  Replace screws which have been tightened to a torquing angle.
t  Replace O-rings and gaskets.

–  Moisten O-rings -4- with coolant.
–  Insert connecting support -2- into the housing -3- of the coolant pump.
–  Push bracket for auxiliary units -1- onto connecting support, position screws and tighten → Fig..
–  Installing AC compressor.
–  Install alternator → Electrical System; Rep. Gr.27.
–  Install the V-ribbed belt → Chapter.
–  Top up coolant → Chapter.
