Tightening torques

Attachment of engine/gearbox on vehicles with 1.9 ltr./77 kW TDI, 2.0 ltr./103 kW TDI, 2.0 ltr./125 kW TDI and 2.0 ltr./147 kW TFSI engines

1) Starter to gearbox

2) The screw is only accessible after removing the starter

3) Installed from the engine side

Install gearbox mount -A- When installing the gearbox holder, observe the following mounting sequence: –  Screw in all screws by hand. –  Tighten screws -arrows 1- to 40 Nm. –  Tighten screws -arrow 2- and -arrow 3- (behind right flange shaft -B-) to 40 Nm. Insert gearbox console -A- at gearbox and supporting arm of gearbox mount t  Screw -1- tightening torque 40 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)

t  t  Screw -2- tightening torque 60 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn) Always replace screws -1- and -2- → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.
