| Correctly fitted engine control unit and ABS control unit (check coding and control unit identification number) |
Note | For safety reasons, the vehicle must be placed on the lifting platform in such a way that the wheels have no contact with the ground. Proceed carefully when inspecting. |

| Pull on the handbrake and slowly depress the clutch. |
| The engine must now stall. |

| If the engine has stalled: |
| The Haldex coupling is closed, the function is O.K. |
| l
| If the engine has not stalled: |
| The Haldex coupling is open. Possible cause of fault: |

| Main pressure regulating valve can clamp. |
| t
| Mechanical fault of the Haldex coupling. |
| t
| Four-wheel drive control unit -J492- on rear final drive is defective. |
