  Note
t  Observe the fault finding of the power transmission before replacing the clutch disc and the pressure plate - problems with the clutch and clutch control → Chapter.
t  Replace the clutch discs and pressure plates if the riveting is damaged or loose.
t  Assign the clutch disc and pressure plate in accordance with the engine identification characters via the → Electronic catalogue of original parts.
t  The two-mass flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disc are assigned to each other and must not be installed together with components from other manufacturers.
   
1 - The two-mass flywheel
q   make sure the centering pins are correctly fitted
q   The locating face for the clutch lining must be free from grooves, oil and grease
q   Observe removal instructions for two-mass flywheel → Engine; Rep. gr.13
q   Removing and Installing → Engine; Rep. gr.13
2 - Clutch disc
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   must only be replaced with „SAC“ pressure plate Pos. 3
q   Fitting position → Fig.
3 - „SAC“-Pressure plate
q   „SAC“ is an abbreviation for Self-Adjusting-Clutch and means „self-adjusting clutch“
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Check the extremities of the membrane springs → Fig.
q   Check feather joints and riveted joints → Fig.
q   Check position of adjustment mechanism on new pressure plates → Fig.
q   must be replaced with clutch disc Pos. 2
4 - Screw M6-13 Nm; screw M7-20 Nm
q   release or tighten in small stages crosswise
q   Assignment → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
