1 - Plug for knock sensor 1 -G61-
2 - Oil pressure switch -F1-, 25 Nm
q   Switching pressure 0.03 ... 0.07 MPa (0.3 ... 0.7 bar)
q   check → Chapter
q   Cut open gasket ring if leaking and replace
3 - 20 Nm
4 - Screw cap
q   for engine identification characters BUD, CGGA
5 - Oil filler inlet with screw cap
q   for engine identification characters BCA
q   Summary of components → Chapter
q   removing and installing → Chapter
6 - Dipstick
q   oil level must not exceed max. marking!
7 - Filler funnel
q   Remove for extracting oil
8 - Guide tube
9 - Main drive toothed belt
q   before removing mark running direction
q   check for wear
q   do not kink
q   Routing of toothed belt → Chapter
q   removing and installing, tensioning → Chapter
10 - Guide pulley
q   for main drive toothed belt
11 - Oil filter
q   slacken at hexagon
q   tighten by hand
q   pay attention to installation instructions on oil filter
12 - Gasket
q   must be positioned on dowel sleeves
q   replace
13 - Oil pump
q   must be replaced completely
q   with pressure relief valve, open for an overpressure of approx. 0.45 MPa (4.5 bar)
q   when fitting pay attention to the driver on the crankshaft → Item
q   must be positioned on dowel sleeves
q   removing and installing → Chapter
14 - 12 Nm
q   replace
15 - Sealing ring
q   replace → Chapter
16 - Crankshaft - toothed belt sprocket
17 - Gasket
q   replace
18 - 10 Nm
19 - Intake manifold
q   for engine identification characters BUD, CGGA
q   Clean strainer if dirty
20 - Intake manifold
q   for engine identification characters BCA
q   Clean strainer if dirty
21 - Driver
q   coat with oil before installing the oil pump
22 - Main drive tensioning pulley
q   check → Chapter
q   Tensioning toothed belt → Chapter
23 - 20 Nm
24 - Oil level and oil temperature sender -G266-
q   replace if damaged
q   check → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
25 - Sealing ring
q   replace
26 - Oil pan
q   clean sealing surface before installing
q   install with sealant -D 176 404 A2-
q   removing and installing → Chapter
27 - Oil drain plug, 30 Nm
q   with captive seal
q   replace
28 - Fixing screws, 13 Nm
q   replace
q   slacken and tighten only the bolts at the flywheel side with socket insert, e. g. -T10058-
29 - 45 Nm
30 - Sealing ring
q   replace
31 - Oil separator
q   for engine identification characters BCA
q   for engine identification characters BUD up to 03/2009
q   with electric heated vacuum regulating valve (PCV valve)
q   Resistance of heating element at 25 °C: 2.5 - 5.9 Ω

q   from coolant pipe → Chapter; Pos. 9
33 - Pipe
q   on engine with identification characters BCA to intake manifold
q   on engines with identification characters BUD, CGGA for crankcase ventilation preheating → Chapter; Pos. 15
34 - O-ring
q   replace if damaged
35 - Oil separator
q   for engine identification characters CGGA
q   for engine identification characters BUD as of 04/2009
q   with coolant heated vacuum regulating valve (PCV valve)
36 - Coolant hose
q   for engine identification characters CGGA

q   from bottom of coolant expansion reservoir connection
