Checking the intake manifold preheating (only for engine identification characters BCA)

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Refrigerant spray (commercially available)
Testing control flap
–  Remove engine cover with air filter → Chapter.
   
–  Check position of the regulating flap -1-.
–  Spray thermo-element -2- with refrigerant spray.
t  Above +23°C the flap must close the hot air connection
t  Below +10 °C the flap opens the hot air connection
