–  Check the gasket O-rings of the fuel dosage valve for damage.
–  Slightly moisten the lower O-ring with fuel and carefully slide the fuel dosage valve into the high pressure pump housing with a rotary movement.
  Note
The fixing screws of the fuel dosage valve must not be greased before installing. They must be installed dry.
   
–  Screw in screws -arrows- only by hand.
–  Pre-tighten screws to 2 Nm, then fully tighten to 7 Nm.
–  Completely fill up the fuel tank with diesel fuel.
–  Filling and bleeding the fuel system. For this purpose, connect the vehicle diagnosis, measurement and information system -VAS 505x- and carry out the targeted function „bleeding the fuel system“. During this function, the fuel pump is actuated for 180 seconds.
–  Check fuel system for tightness → Chapter.
