Oil filter holder - Summary of components
1 - O-ring
q   replace
q   push on as far as collar on the tube → Item
q   is mounted in the engines with identification characters BGU
2 - Pipe
q   for crankcase ventilation
q   is mounted in the engines with identification characters BGU
3 - To vent housing under the cap
4 - Spring strap clamp
q   is mounted in the engines with identification characters BGU
5 - Retaining clip
q   is mounted in the engines with identification characters BGU
6 - Screw plug, 15 Nm
7 - Sealing ring
q   cut open if leaking and replace
8 - 0.14 MPa (1.4 bar) oil pressure switch -F1-, 25 Nm
q   black insulation
q   check → Chapter
9 - Sealing ring
q   cut open if leaking and replace
10 - Oil filter holder
q   with pressure relief valve approx. 0.4 MPa (4 bar)
11 - 15 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
12 - Gasket
q   replace
q   fit into the grooves on the engine oil cooler
q   is mounted in the engines with identification characters BGU
13 - Engine oil cooler
q   pay attention to the notes → Chapter
q   ensure clearance to surrounding components
q   Connection diagram for coolant hoses → Chapter.
q   is mounted in the engines with identification characters BGU
14 - 25 Nm
15 - Oil filter
q   slacken with tensioning strap
q   tighten by hand
q   pay attention to installation instructions on oil filter
16 - Screw plug, 40 Nm
17 - Sealing ring
q   replace
18 - Spring
19 - Piston
20 - Gasket
q   replace

   
Remove and install oil return-flow check tube
l  Oil filter holder removed.
–  Pull out oil return-flow check tube -2- under rotating movements with pointed pliers.
–  Replace gasket ring -1-.
–  Press in the new oil return-flow check tube up to the stop.
