Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Counterholder -T30004 (3415)- or Counterholer -MP 1-310 (3099)-
t  Gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226 (3203)-
t  Assembly device -T10053-
Removing
l  Engine installed.
–  Removing toothed belt → Chapter.
   
–  Remove crankshaft - toothed belt sprocket, to this end lock toothed belt sprocket with counterholder -T30004- or counterholder -MP 1-310-.
  S13-0166
–  To guide the gasket ring extractor -MP1-226- screw the central screw for the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket fully into the crankshaft by hand.

–  Unscrew inner part of the gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226- nine turns (approx. 3 mm) out of the outer part and lock with knurled screw.
–  Oil the thread head of the gasket ring extractor, position and forcely screw into the gasket ring as far as possible.
–  Release knurled screw and turn the inner side against the crankshaft until the gasket ring is pulled out.
–  Clamp gasket ring extractor on the surfaces provided in a vice and remove gasket ring with pliers.
–  Clean the contact and sealing surface.
Install
  Note
Do not oil the sealing lip and the outer surface of the gasket ring before the pressing in procedure.
–  Remove oil residue on the crankshaft journal with a clean cloth.

–  Insert bushing -T10053/1- on the crankshaft stub.
–  Slide gasket ring over the guide bushing.
  S13-0454
–  Press in the gasket ring flush with the central screw for the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket and with the pressure bushing of the assembly device -T10053-.
  Note
t  There must not be any oil present on contact surface between toothed belt sprocket and crankshaft.
t  Replace central screw for crankshaft toothed belt sprocket.
t  Do not oil central screw for crankshaft toothed belt sprocket.
t  Tighten central screw → Chapter.
–  Install crankshaft - toothed belt sprocket, to this end lock toothed belt sprocket with counterholder -T30004-.
–  Installing the timing belt → Chapter.
