Step 5: metal swarfs are present in the high pressure pump
–  Replace the following high pressure components:
t  High pressure pump → Chapter
t  High pressure lines → Chapter
t  Fuel distributor → Chapter
t  Fuel pressure regulating valve -N276- → Chapter
t  Fuel pressure sender -G247- → Chapter
t  Injection units → Chapter
t  Fuel return-flow lines → Chapter, Pos. 6
–  Completely fill up the fuel tank with diesel fuel.
–  Filling and bleeding the fuel system. For this purpose, connect the vehicle diagnosis, measurement and information system -VAS 505X- and carry out the targeted function „bleeding the fuel system“. During this function, the fuel pump is actuated for 180 seconds.
–  Check fuel system for tightness → Chapter.
