  Note
   
t  The version of the fuel tank, which (on vehicles with four-wheel drive) consists of the left and right chamber, requires that the fuel from the left chamber -3- is pumped out of the area of the fuel gauge sender 2 -G169- to the fuel delivery unit -2- with a suction jet pump -1-.
t  A check of the suction jet pump is to be carried out, if the engine stops because of fuel shortage, although the fuel gauge still indicates a fuel tank which is 1/4 full.
Work procedure
–  Remove fuel delivery unit → Chapter.
–  Remove fuel gauge sender 2 -G169- → Chapter.
–  Pull out the suction jet pump from the side of the fuel gauge sender 2 -G169-.
–  Check, if the fuel lines on the suction jet pump are placed on firmly and not damaged.
–  Check the suction jet pump additionally for possible contamination or blockage.
