Install
Installation is performed in a similar way in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following points:
  Note
Replace cylinder head cover rubber gasket and cylinder head cover bolts if damaged.
–  Thoroughly clean sealing surfaces from sealant and oil residues.
   
–  Apply on both edges -arrows- in the contact faces of the cylinder head sealing surface and bearing cap at front ...
  S15-0452
–  ... and at rear with a small amount of (... approx. 5 mm) sealant -D 454 300 A2 --arrows-.
–  Position cylinder head cover with intermediate gasket and screws.
  Note
The positioning of the cylinder head cover is made more difficult through the intake manifold. The cylinder head cover must be carefully pulled out under the installed intake manifold towards the left.
  S15-0453
–  Tighten the bolts of the cylinder head cover in sequence -1 ... 13- to 10 Nm.
