Lock carrier with attached parts - Service position
  Note
The front area of the engine compartment is more easily accessible with the lock carrier in service position. The lock carrier is pulled forward by about 70 mm.
–  Removing front bumper → Chapter.
–  Remove headlights → Electrical System; Rep. gr.94
–  Remove noise insulation → Chapter.
–  Release air duct from lock carrier → Chapter.
–  Unclip the Bowden cable for the flap lock at the lock carrier.
–  Cover wing corner with adhesive tape.
–  Support the engine bonnet in a suitable manner and secure it correctly.
   
–  Remove the bottom screws -1- (30 Nm) and instead install the screws -2- (e.g. M10 x 120).
–  Remove the top screws -1- (30 Nm) and instead install the screws -2-.

–  Remove screws -2- (9 Nm).
–  Pull out the lock carrier -1- forward by about 50 - 70 mm.
Installing:
–  Installation of the lock carrier with attached parts occurs in reverse order.
