Removing and installing the front door

WARNING

Safety precautions are to be applied when handling pressure sensor for side impact → Chapter.

Removing:

For vehicles with side airbags:

–	Disconnect battery earth strap → Electrical System; Rep. gr.27.

For all vehicles:

–	Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.

–	Pull off the bellows -6- from pillar A.

–	Separate plug connections -4-.

–	Remove the nuts -2- from the hinges -1-.

–	Remove screw -5- (30 Nm) from the door arrester -3-.

–	Hook out the door upwards.

Installing:

–	Installation is carried out in the reverse order; pay attention to the following points:

–	Remove bellow bracket -2- from pillar A.

–	Insert bellow bracket -2- in the bellows -1- and install bracket with bellows in the pillar A.

Note

In the event of damage replace bellow bracket -2- with a new original part.

WARNING

Pay attention to the sequence when connecting the battery → Electrical System; Rep. gr.27.
