Removing and installing the front and rear bass speaker
Removing and installing the front and rear bass speaker
  Note
The rear loudspeakers are only fixed with four rivets, the mounting sequence is identical.
Removing
–  Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
–  Remove the door trim panel from which the loudspeaker is removed → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
   
–  Use a suitable drill to drill open the rivets -arrows- and take out the faulty speaker.
  Note
t  It is important to remove all the drillings and the remaining rivets from the door since they can otherwise lead to corrosion and result in knocking noises.
t  Any damage to the paintwork which is caused by drilling out the rivets must be repaired immediately by a specialist.
Install
–  Attach the new speaker with matching blind rivets.
–  Mount the plug connection and install the door trim panel → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
–  Perform a functional test.
