Camry L4-1995cc 2.0L SOHC (2S-E) (1984)

(a) Using a screwdriver, drive out the oil seal.
(b) Apply MP grease to a new oil seal.
(c) Using SST, drive in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the rear oil seal retainer edge. SST 09223-63010
NOTE: Make sure seal is installed straight in retainer.
If the rear oil seal retainer is installed to the cylinder block:
(a) Using a knife, cut off the lip of oil seal.
(b) Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.
NOTE: Tape the screwdriver to avoid damaging the crankshaft
(c) Check the oil seal lip contact surface of the crankshaft for cracks or damage.
(d) Apply MP grease to a new oil seal.
(e) Using SST, drive in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the rear oil seal retainer edge. SST 09223-63010
NOTE: Make sure seal is installed straight in retainer.
