Power Steering Fluid: Specifications

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS 

Power Steering Fluid ........................................................................................................................................................................  ATF Dexron II or III

1.

Place vehicle on a level surface.

2.

With engine running at 1000 RPM or less, turn steering wheel from stop to stop several times.

3.

Ensure fluid temperature is 176°F. If not repeat step 2.

4.

Check fluid for foaming condition. Fluid foaming condition is usually caused by air trapped in system or low fluid level.

5.

Check and adjust fluid level as needed.
