Power Window Motor: Testing and Inspection
INSPECT POWER WINDOW MOTOR OPERATION
Left Side Door Motor
1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the motor turns clockwise.
2. Reverse the polarity, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise.
If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
Rear Door Motor
1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, then check that the motor turns clockwise.
2. Reverse the polarity, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise.
If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
Right Side Door Motor
1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that the motor turns clockwise.
2. Reverse the polarity, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise.
If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
