Air Mix Servomotor

1. INSPECT SERVOMOTOR OPERATION

a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4, check that the arm rotates to the "COOL"

side smoothly.

If operation is not as specified, replace the servomotor.

b. Reverse the polarity, check that the arm rotates to the "HOT" side smoothly.

If operation is not as specified. replace the servomotor.

2. INSPECT POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE

a. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 3.

Standard resistance:
Approx. 6.0 K Ohms

b. Set the arm to COOL position.
c. Check that the resistance between terminals 2 and 3 decreases from approx. 4.8 K Ohms to 1.2 K Ohms, when the arm is rotated from COOL

to HOT position.

If operation is not as specified, replace the servomotor.
