Following the appropriate repair manual procedures, remove and disassemble the lower valve body to gain access to the oil cooler by pass
valve spring. (See Figure 11)

Replace the OEM oil cooler By-Pass Valve Spring with the spring supplied in Kit #2.

D.

Using the new gaskets supplied in Kit #2, and following your repair manual, reassemble the valve body assembly.

Install new unions and oil cooler tubes (See Figure 12)

Torque the union nuts located at the transmission to 16 ft.lb. (220 kg-cm)
