Using a 3 mm punch, make a dimple into the top layer of sheet metal adjacent to the hood hinge mounting hole closest to the windshield in the
location shown.

Protect bare metal spot with appropriate touch-up paint or an available rust inhibitor.

5.

Reinstall the hinge and hood.
