Introduction
The use of an anchor spring on the parking brake shoe was discontinued on the Sequoia during the 2001 model year.

2001 model year Sequoia vehicles produced before the VIN shown below.
Production Change Information
Parts Information
The spring shown will not be used in the reassembly of the parking brake assembly.
Repair Procedure
When the parking brake shoes are replaced on Sequoia vehicles before the VIN listed above, the No. 1 Tension Spring (Anchor Spring) will not be used.
When the service parts are received, the holes to mount the No. 1 Tension Spring will not be present as shown in the figure.
