About the Sienna
The Sienna minivan, named after the Italian city of Siena, replaced the Previa and the Camry wagon for the 1998 model year with a front-wheel-drive layout on a revised Camry platform. It was redesigned for 2004 to match the size of its rivals, and for years it was the only minivan in its class offered with all-wheel drive.
What these manuals cover
- 1998–2003 (first generation): the 3.0-litre V6 (1MZ-FE).
- 2004–2009 (second generation): the 3.3 (3MZ-FE) and 3.5-litre (2GR-FE) V6s, with front- or all-wheel drive.
- 2011 (third generation): the 2.7-litre four (1AR-FE).
Tip: the Sienna shares its V6s with the Camry of the same years.
