Cooling Fan System
COOLING FAN SYSTEM
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. INSPECT COOLING FAN OPERATION WHEN COOLANT TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 95°C (203°F)
a) Check that the cooling fan does not operate when the ignition switch is turned ON with the A/C with OFF.
b) Check that the cooling operates when the ignition switch is turned ON with the engine coolant temperature sensor connector disconnected.
2. INSPECT COOLING FAN OPERATION WHEN COOLANT TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 97°C (207°F)
a) Warm up the engine and turn the A/C switch OFF.
b) Check that the cooling fan operates when the coolant temperature is above 97°C (207°F).
c) Check that the cooling fan stops when the coolant temperature is below 95°C (203°F).
