About the Supra
The Supra (Latin for "above" or "beyond") began in 1978 as a longer, six-cylinder Celica, and in 1986 the A70 became a separate model. The first four generations ran until 2002, and the name returned in 2019. The first three generations used straight-sixes descended from the M engine of the Crown and the 2000GT.
What these manuals cover
- 1987–1990 (A70): the 3.0-litre straight-six (7M-GE) and its turbo (7M-GTE).
- 1993–1998 (A80): the 3.0-litre 2JZ-GE and the twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE.
Tip: earlier Supras are in the Celica manuals as the Celica Supra.
