Remove crankshaft position sensor, Fig. 26.

Remove two engine to transmission stiffener plates, then the oil pan bolts and nuts.

Using sealer cutter tool No. 09032-00100, or equivalent, Fig. 27, cut sealer to release oil pan. Use caution not to damage flanges.

10.

Remove oil strainer and pick-up tube.

11.

On models with A/C, remove bolts securing V-belt pulley to crankshaft pulley and remove pulley.

12.

Remove crankshaft pulley nut using holding tool Nos. 09213-54015 and 09330-00021, or equivalents, then the pulley, using gear puller and shaft
protector tool Nos. 09213-60017 and 09950-20017, or equivalents, if necessary.

Remove two water bypass pipe bolts and two timing chain cover bolts, Fig. 28, then the nine bolts and two nuts holding timing chain cover to
block.
