Using a soft face hammer, tap loose timing chain cover, then slide assembly off crankshaft.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque timing chain cover fasteners as follows, Fig. 29, bolt A to 14 ft. lb., bolt B to 18 ft. lb., bolt C to 32 ft. lb. and nut D to 14 ft. lb.
b. Tighten fasteners to specifications.
c. Apply sealer No. 08826-00080, or equivalent, to oil pan flange as shown in Fig. 30.
