Manual Steering Gear / 2 Of 2

REMOVAL

1. Place the front wheels facing straight ahead.
2. If the vehicle came with an airbag, remove the steering wheel pad. 
3. If the vehicle came with an airbag, remove the steering wheel.  
4. Disconnect the right and left hand tie rod ends. 
5. Remove the column hole cover after removing the four nuts.
6. Disconnect the sliding yoke. 
7. Remove the two brackets and grommets after removing the two bolts and nuts.
8. Remove the manual steering gear. 

INSTALLATION

1. Install the manual steering gear assembly from the left hand of the vehicle.
2. Install the two grommets and brackets, tightening the two bolts and nuts to 58 Nm (43 ft.lbs.).
