5. REMOVE THE MUFFLER

(a) Locate the V-band clamp found in front of the muffler.

(b) Remove the V-band clamp bolt and nut.

(c) Remove the V-band clamp.

(d) Remove and discard the V-band clamp exhaust pipe gasket.

(e) Remove the 2 muffler support brackets from the rubber exhaust hangers, and then remove the muffler.

NOTE:

Lubricating the rubber exhaust hangers with soap & water can facilitate muffler support bracket removal.
