Applicability

Introduction

If the transfer case assembly or transfer case actuator assembly is replaced on some 2007 and 2008 model year Tundra vehicles the four wheel drive
(4WD) computer (ECM) may need to be replaced at the same time due to transfer case assembly and 4WD ECM logic changes. Refer to the procedure
below to confirm if replacement of the 4WD ECM will be required at the same time as the transfer case assembly or transfer case actuator assembly
replacement.

Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
