On the basis of long-term test results and in order to conform to the wishes of fleet/large-scale customers regarding extended oil change intervals, the engine oil and oil filter change intervals for the engines specified above have been extended from previously every 12 months / 7,500 km/4,500 miles to every 12 months / 15,000 km/9,000 miles for all customers.

For the remaining diesel engines - e.g. X 15 DT (T4 EC 1), 25 DT - the tests have not yet been completed.

Important:

The engine oil quality must conform to CCMC-G5/PD2 for easy run oils (energy conserving oil); this is also possible in conjunction with API.../..., provided that CCMC-G5/PD2 is also specified on the container.

Important:

For the X 17 DT (TC 4 EE 1) diesel engine, the engine oil capacity (incl. filter change) is altered to 5.0 litres as of Model Year '96.

MIN to MAX remains 1.0 litre.

The listed alterations regarding engine oil change intervals are included in the following maintenance documents as of MY '96:

-    "Inspection System MY '94 1/2 up to MY '96" Corsa-B to Omega-B brochure

-    Service Maintenance Booklet (approx. DIN A 7), Diesel, Edition 8/95, i.e. as of MY '96

-    Check Lists "Annual Inspection" (Diesel)

Please ensure that our mutual customers are informed about this alteration immediately, so that they too can enjoy the benefits of the extended oil change intervals as soon as possible.
