Automatic Operation
The windows can be both opened and closed automatically.
a) Up to MY '93 1. Press rocker switch (window moves farther than 50 mm/2 in.). The window opens or closes automatically. The window motion is stopped if the rocker switch is actuated again or when the window is completely open or closed.
2. Press rocker switch briefly (window moves less that 40 mm/1.5 in.). Window opens or closes in short steps (short stroke operation).
b) As of MY '94 1. Press rocker switch (longer than 0.4 seconds). The window opens or closes automatically. The window motion is stopped if the rocker switch is actuated again or when the window is completely open or closed.
2. Press rocker switch briefly (shorter than 0.4 seconds). Window opens or closes in short steps (short stroke operation).
· Deviation in automatic operation: - Astra-F Up to May 1993, only the driver's door window can be automatically opened or closed. As of May 1993, function as described in b).
- Astra-F Convertible The Astra-F Convertible has electric window winders without automatic operation.
