General Instructions / Safety Measures

·   Disconnect battery from vehicle electrical system before charging or quick-charging.

·   Never disconnect the battery from the vehicle electrical system with the engine running.

·   Never use the quick-charger for starting.

·   Remove control units before welding operations in their immediate vicinity.

·   At temperatures above 80 °C/176 °F (e.g. drying ovens), electronic vehicle systems must not be operated; disconnect battery. Reconnect battery once the vehicle has cooled down.

·   Use only high-resistance voltage testers (e.g. Multimeter MKM-587-A) for checking.

·   Use only the adapter pins included in the Electronic-Kit for checking wiring harness plugs. If unsuitable adapter pins are used, correct electric connection of the wiring harness plugs is not guaranteed.

Important:

Test steps in which the connection contacts of wiring harness plugs or control units are connected to groundor battery voltage must be performed with the utmost care. Incorrectly selected contacts can lead to destruction of internal circuits in the control units in question.

Note:

After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery:

·   Reset time and date

·   Return radio function to operational mode by entering code

·   Reprogram electronic window winders
